The process of creating Beyer’s sculpture, especially in cast metals, involved lots of physical effort and work with dangerous materials. Watching Richard S. Beyer work was a fascinating experience and one that is hard to put into words. He usually worked with crews of young artists who felt honored to learn the craft under his tutelage.
